Rylands

Rylands, is an 18th-century home located on Chelsea Road, Christ Church, Barbados. It may pre-date the Hurricane of 1780 and is featured on the Barbados National Trust tours. This main house and cottage underwent a complete renovation in 2013. The outer walls were reinforced with a ring beam, and new roofs were installed on both the main house and the cottage. The windows and doors were replaced with custom-made hardwood designs, and the plumbing and electrical systems were entirely updated. This home offers 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and retains original wooden floors. It features an open-plan living and dining area that leads to a large wrap-around patio. The Cottage is fully self-contained. The home continues to be well-maintained, offering privacy with enclosed grounds and natural airflow throughout. A water feature on the property can be used for water storage, a pool, or a Koi pond. Rylands is very centrally located on the South Coast, near to The Garrison Savannah and the popular Brownes Beach and Pebbles Beach.
